Celebration of Excellence
June 5, 2016

On Sunday, June 5th JCY-Westchester Community Partners (a division of Family Service Society of Yonkers) honored Outstanding Educators, Supporters, Scholarship Awardees, Holocaust Remembrance Program Contest Winners and our 700+ Corps of Mentors/Volunteers at our 2nd annual Celebration of Excellence brunch at The Westchester Manor.

The Mission of JCY-WCP is to enhance the educational experience of children in Westchester County through effective learning initiatives and the engagement of volunteer mentors.  The mission is accomplished through 9 programs: SMART (Students and Mature Adults Read Together), Reading Buddies After School, Summer Reading Buddies, Intro 2 America, Open Book, Holocaust Remembrance Program, Scholarship Program, SHINE and Generating STEAM (full after school programs).

Over 200 guests, including Community Leaders, YPS School Administrators, Elected Officials, family and friends gathered to acknowledge the success of these programs and to Celebrate Excellence in everything accomplished by JCY-Westchester Community Partners.
