Watch Intro2America on "Tiempo" !

On Sunday, March 30 at 11:30am on ABC's "Tiempo",  Marla Hurban, JCY-Westchester Community Partners Director of Intergenerational Programs, Dr. Edwin Quezada, Assistant Superintendent, Secondary Education, Yonkers Public Schools, and Lincoln High School student Samuel Ramos talked with Joe Torre about our wonderful Intro2America program.

Thanks to generous funding from the New York Life Foundation, The Intro2America Program provides an enriched environment for learning and addressing the special challenges facing immigrant high school students with little or no English language skills in the Yonkers Public Schools.  Trained bilingual community members are engaged as volunteers and work with them on a one-to-one basis to increase their communications skills, familiarize them with American culture and improve their reading skills.

"Tiempo" is a weekly round-table discussion show about topics affecting and relating to Hispanic citizens.
